How do I deactivate another user on my account?

Updated over 3 months ago

If someone no longer needs access to your Capitalise account, you can easily deactivate their user profile. This is an important step for maintaining account security and control.

Important notes:

  • You cannot deactivate your own user profile.

  • You cannot deactivate the primary account user.

Here's how to deactivate another user:

1. Log in to Capitalise:

  • Start by logging into your Capitalise account using your current email address and password.

2. Navigate to "Manage my account":

  • Once logged in, click on your user avatar (icon with your initials found in the top right corner of the screen).

  • From the dropdown menu, select "Manage my account."

3. Go to the "Users" Page:

  • On the "Manage my account" page, look for and click on the "Users" page in the navigation menu. This section allows you to manage who has access to your Capitalise account.

4. Select "Deactivate user" from the ellipsis menu:

  • Locate the row of the user you wish to deactivate.

  • On that user's row, you will find an ellipsis icon (three vertical dots). Click on this icon.

  • A small dropdown menu will appear. From this menu, select "Deactivate user."

5. Confirm Deactivation:

  • A side panel will open, asking you to confirm the action.

  • Carefully review the information. To proceed, click the "Deactivate user" button within this side panel.

Once confirmed, the user's access to your Capitalise account will be immediately revoked. They will no longer be able to log in or view your company's information.
