If you've seen a late payment reported on your Capitalise business credit profile. Capitalise does not have access to creditor details, we display information from Experian, including:
The date and age of the late payment
The fact that a late payment was reported
Experian does not share the name of the reporting creditor or supplier with Capitalise, so we cannot identify them for you.
How to identify the reporting creditor
A company director must contact Experian Commercial Support to request this information:
π Call: 0345 045 8081
Choose option 2
Let them know you're a Capitalise customer seeking details on a reported late payment. Experian will be able to tell you which creditor submitted the late payment data.
Next steps if you believe the late payment is incorrect
1. Review your credit profile
Note the date and age of the late payment shown in Capitalise.
2. Contact Experian
Ask for the name of the creditor who reported the late payment.
3. Engage the reporting creditor
Reach out to the creditor to clarify the situation.
Share supporting documents (e.g. proof of payment or agreement terms) if you believe it was reported in error.
4. File a dispute with Experian, if needed
If the creditor refuses to amend the record and you still believe it's incorrect, raise a formal dispute with Experian.
Experian has a process to review and resolve disputed entries.
Note: Capitalise cannot raise disputes or make changes to Experian data directly.
