How to Challenge or Dispute Your Business Credit Profile

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Capitalise gives you access to your business credit profile through our partnership with Experian. While we help you understand your credit data, Capitalise can not control or edit the information displayed. All data comes directly from Experian, so any disputes or corrections must be handled with them.

What can be disputed?

You can raise a dispute with Experian if you believe any of the following are inaccurate:

  • Payment performance records

  • Credit accounts (e.g. loans, credit cards, trade credit)

  • County Court Judgments (CCJs)

  • Other publicly recorded business credit information

Important: only a registered company director can raise a dispute due to the sensitive nature of business credit data.

How to raise a dispute with Experian

To challenge or correct your business credit information:

  1. Call Experian’s Business Support Team
    📞 0345 045 8081 (select option 2)
